Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.
 

Steffin:I am Steffin Joseph from Bhopal. I have completed B.E from Sagar Institute of Research and Technology. My career goal is to secure a job in an IT company where I can use my skills to the maximum.

Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?
 

Steffin:When campus interviews are conducted, all companies have their own preliminary test for shortlisting the candidates and each campus drive takes up to 1-2 days. Since this is a long process and affected my semester exams and project preparation, it was not possible for me to attend all the campus drives. So, when I heard about AMCAT test, I took the test, which was the best decision for me. When I got my scores and detailed report, I was able to analyse my weak areas and then I started working on them.

Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Mphasis?

Steffin:After taking AMCAT, I started receiving number of calls from reputed companies and one of them was Mphasis. I attended the interview and got selected. Since I took AMCAT, I didn’t need to go through their preliminary exam and was called directly for the interview.

Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why

Steffin:Yes, guys do take AMCAT test if you are tired of giving separate tests for each companies or if your college has less campus drives. By taking AMCAT exam, your profile is open to not just one but all the companies which recruit through AMCAT.

Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?

Steffin:Write only those things in resume about which you have knowledge. Be well prepared for exam and interview. If you get rejected by one company, don’t worry there are many more who hire through AMCAT. Last but not the least, work on your communicationskills.
