Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.

Parimala: Hi! I am Parimala and I am in my B.Tech - ECE final year in Government College of Engineering, Bargur, Tami Nadu. My native place is Chinnasalem, Tamil Nadu. My goal is to work in a esteem organization.

Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?

 Parimala: While searching for a job, we have to clear so many rounds like aptitude, group discussion, etc and I wasn’t able to clear the GD round at the beginning of the placement season, when I first started my job search. Finally, through continuous practice, I was able to improve my GD skills. I took the AMCAT test, got good scores and finally got selected with Mindtree.

 Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Mindtree?

 Parimala: In the AMCAT test, I took 4-5 modules. Each module is required to be completed in a certain time duration which I did for all the modules. You must practice more and more time based tests so that you can complete them within the given time. If you can get good scores in AMCAT, you can directly attend the interview rounds without taking the aptitude tests/GD again and again. You will get multiple opportunities through AMCAT but you must have good scores. I attended interviews through AMCAT and finally got selected with Mindtree. 

 Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why

 Parimala: Yes definitely, I suggest everyone to take the AMCAT test as it is a good way of searching for a job. Many students have secured good jobs through AMCAT including many of our seniors in the college. 

Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?

 Parimala: Job seekers should always be updated with the latest. And if you are looking for software profiles, you must have a good knowledge of programming. Prepare well!
