Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.

Kartik: I am Kartik Sharma, an engineering graduate from Radha Govind Engineering College. I was always interested in programming and logics, that’s why I chose computer science as my B.Tech stream. Being from a middle-class family, getting a good job was not only what I wanted but I really needed it. I was aiming for an organization where I could utilize my coding skills, not just settle down with a good package and do nothing.

Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcame those difficulties?

Kartik: As my academics were not so amazing neither were my preparations for engineering entrance exams, I didn't get admission in any reputed top college. Somehow, I got admission in a not so famous college but pretty good in academic aspects. I didn't get any offer in campus placement as companies mostly prefer meritorious students. Then, I got to know about AMCAT from a friend and found that AMCAT is doing such an amazing job for students, from not so famous colleges, who don’t get the opportunity to appear for the interviews in good companies. 

Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Snapdeal.com?

Kartik: Luckily, my AMCAT score was good enough. The day my result was declared I started getting job notifications from AMCAT for various jobs. I applied in Snapdeal.com for the designation of Application Engineer. Three days after, I got the call letter from Snapdeal.com for interview which I managed to crack and got the job offer.

Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why

Kartik: Yes, I suggest all the students and job seekers to take the AMCAT test. This is going to give you more and more job opportunities in well-known companies.

Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?

Kartik: Work hard on quantitative and reasoning. Programmers should try to enhance their logical thinking along with programming which is a must. I wish all the best for my juniors and job seekers for their future.
