The purpose of introducing AMCAT was to implement a logical and established mode of screening that would be consistent and avoid human interface and biasing. It has also helped us cut short the entire selection process and reduce per-hire costs by approx 10-15%. The technical panel and the HR panel now only goes through the selected candidates and hence better output is there. We have hired more than 2000 candidates using AMCAT over the last 3 years.
The logic and the underlying principle is that talent is available everywhere and if the screening process is adaptive and not compromised then the quality of output that you get post the test is consistent. There are n number of vendors that have come up with such solutions but the kind of detailing and analysis AMCAT provides certainly shows the time, effort and the thinking that has gone in making the product and hence the edge.
