Aspiring Minds: Tell us something about yourself and your career goals.
Abhishek: My name is Abhishek and I am currently pursuing B.Tech in Electronics and Telecom engineering. I always had a soft corner for Computer Science and coding and loved computer science since my school days. I was looking forward to work with an IT company when I started engineering and it came true with MindTree, all thanks to AMCAT.
Aspiring Minds: What difficulties did you face while searching for a job and how did you overcome those difficulties?
Abhishek: One of major difficulties in finding a job is uniformity; each company insists on taking their own written exam. So one must be well aware about all such openings. In this scenario, AMCAT is helpful as AMCAT scores are accepted by many leading recruiters. After taking the AMCAT exam, the aspirant can simply apply for the hiring drive and wait for a response from the recruiter.
Aspiring Minds: Tell us about your experience post giving the AMCAT test and how AMCAT helped you in getting the job at Mindtree?
Abhishek: AMCAT was conducted in my college and most of the students appeared for the test. After taking AMCAT, I was quite relaxed as I knew I no longer needed to worry about my placement. I applied for the Mindtree drive and I was given the assessment call letter which allowed me to take the AUTOMATA test. On the basis of the AUTOMATA test, I was called for an interview. AMCAT played a vital role throughout the hiring process.
Aspiring Minds: Would you suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT? If yes, why?
Abhishek: Yes I would surely suggest other job seekers to take AMCAT, because AMCAT has tie-ups with a large number of companies which helps in connecting with a lot of job opportunities.
Aspiring Minds: Would you like to share some tips which can help other job seekers in getting a good job?
Abhishek: Don’t ever get demotivated by failure as they are stepping stones for success. Success never teaches or points our mistakes, failure does. During a previous placement drive in my campus I was not selected in one of the leading companies where I had always dreamt of working. I was depressed but then I made a resolution to work on areas where I lacked. In the end, I got a job with Mindtree. All thanks to AMCAT. 🙂
