First of all I’d like to thank the team behind Aspiring Minds, who worked hard to get Sears Holdings India to recruit AMCAT candidates.
It was a very smooth process and pretty well managed indeed.
I had been struggling to get a decent job since I passed out from college in June, 2011.
Kept trying everywhere but to no avail. By the end of 2011 I was pretty desperate to get a job somewhere.
So when I got the mail from Aspiring Minds that Sears is recruiting AMCAT candidates, I was overjoyed about the fact that I atleast would have an opportunity to showcase my talent. I had been working on my soft skills all this while and it was about time to prove myself.
At first, I was just excited about getting an invitation to attend the recruitment drive but when I read about the company on the internet, I was amazed to find out it was such a big company with such a strong presence.
The GD round was a thrill ride. I was really tensed when the GD results were being announced, but I was happy to find out that I had made it to the final round. The final round was Technical and HR round together. It was pretty exciting for me. I was asked to solve some reasoning problems which were interesting. Being good at coding, I was wondering if the interviewer would ask me something about programming. And to my surprise, he asked me to write a code for him, which I happily did. The whole interview process was very nice experience for me and the interviewer was very soft spoken and friendly, which kind of eased all my tensions.
I would very much like to thank the team of Aspiring Minds who made all this possible. Without their hard work, SEARS Holdings India wouldn’t have come to recruit AMCAT candidates and I wouldn’t be writing this mail. It feels great to be placed in such a big company after waiting for quite a long time.
Now I have something to write in the “Add where you work” section of my Facebook profile. Been waiting for that since a long time.
Taking AMCAT was a good decision and I am feeling so lucky right now. THANK YOU Aspiring Minds. Thanks alot.
