Although the AMCAT exam is not a tough nut to crack but it is always better to go prepared and give your best to get a good AMCAT score. Having a good AMCAT score in your kitty will make you stand out from the rest of the candidates and will tell the recruiter how polished your skills are.

Hence, here are a few tips to help you ace your AMCAT exam and get a solid score in it. 

Go Through The Syllabus.

The first thing you need to do after scheduling your AMCAT exam is to look at the syllabus of both the compulsory and optional modules. You can take a print out if you want to and paste it somewhere in your room where it is easily visible. The AMCAT syllabus is available online.

There are six compulsory modules that you have to give irrespective of your education background and you have to choose at least one domain module as per your area of interest and skills.

Brush Up Your Basics

As you already know, AMCAT is unlike your college exams. It is a test of your skills. Therefore, to ace this exam you need to make your foundation strong.  And for that, practice is the key. You can’t just mug a skill overnight. Hence, it is important that you gradually build up your foundation. Moreover, mugging up won’t help you in the long run.

Lastly, this will also help you in clearing your technical interview round, where the interviewer will re-check whether you have the right skills for the job or not.

Make A Timetable.

If you are in college or working, a timetable would come handy. It will make it easy for you to keep a tab on your progress. Moreover, you will be able to divide your time as per the subject requirement.

Having a schedule will make it easier for you to prioritize your activities. Moreover, it will make you less anxious about the exam.

Practice Sample Questions And Give Mocks

It is rightly said that practice makes a man perfect because, without the adequate amount of practice, you can’t crack the AMCAT exam. Hence, you need to practice as many sample questions as you can.

After solving the sample questions, you should start practising with prepAMCAT, it is a simulated version of the actual AMCAT exam. And it will show you where you stand and the areas where you need improving.

Revise And Study Weaker Sections.

After knowing the sections where you need to give special attention, you should start from step one. Go through your notes and practice papers. Again, re-attempt the sample questions and spend extra time on these sections. If you see any improvement, then again attempt the mock exams. Keep a tab on your mock score and see where you have improved and where you still have a long way to go.

These are some of the basic important tips that you should keep in your mind when starting your preparation. However, consistency is the key. Therefore, try to devote some time to your preparation regularly. Also, on the day before the AMCAT exam, try not to get anxious. Be confident in your preparation and give you 100% when writing your exam.
