Job Description

The Web Applications Developer is accountable for developing web-based applications to meet the emerging Web Development needs of the company. Actively partake in a small, self-directing team of designers, developers, & internet marketing specialists to develop a great experience for visitors to our client’s websites.

 Responsibilities: 

-Create new systems using JavaScript, SQL, PHP & complementary technologies as necessary 

-Developing PHP web applications using Custom PHP Framework and open sources such as Codeigniter, Magento, Wordpress, Prestashop etc. 

-Use current company code libraries & frameworks where needed

-Research & recommend new technologies to improve the user experience 

-Individually code, design & test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes 

-Architect and implement code that will perform well under load, be easy to sustain & meet present & future needs. 

-Timely completion of development objectives & projects that meet goals. 

-Development of stable, well-design systems

-Product Development experience is a big advantage

-Works with the E-commerce & IT Team to achieve goals.  Works with outside vendors as needed.

Requirements:

 -Degree in Computer Science or related 

-At least 6 months of web development skill

-Solid skill with client-side scripting languages & technologies such as PHP, HTML5, jQuery (or similar), CSS/3, JavaScript, etc. 

-Experience in APIs & Application integration 

-Should be expert in 1 application framework and should be aware of various other frameworks  like Bootstrap, codeignitor, cakePHP etc. 

-Familiarity of Wordpress/Magento/Prestashop theme Integration.

 -Skill with MySQL & relational database design & normalization 

-Solid desire & capability to constantly learn & sustain a high level of skill in a field that is continually changing & evolving  recognition

-Excellent written & verbal communication abilities 

-Experience in e-Commerce Design Portals will be an advantage.

Skills/Qualifications/Keywords:

- Good knowledge of PHP/JavaScript, SQL/ jQuery/ CSS/HTML5 .

- Basic knowledge of Bootstrap, CodeIgnitor, CakePHP and Frameworks.

-Profile involves programming of web applications using PHP framework.
