Indus Action has a mission to enable the disadvantaged gain access to legislated rights sustainably, in India. Our first action is to create a breakthrough in inclusive education. We achieve this in collaboration with progressive state governments and a network of partner and community entrepreneurs. We are led by a world-class team and an international board.

India\'s Right to Education law grants free access to high-quality private schools to economically and socially disadvantaged children. However, national seat fill rate is only ~15 percent. Indus Action has till 2017, enabled 30,000 students in less than 3 years, with 80% fill rate in our areas of operation. By 2020, we aim to enrol 1 million children and are well on course to achieve the goal. By saving $1500 in tuition fees, families save 12% of their annual income. This yielded $45 million savings per every year thus far. We are able to deliver this impact at a marginal cost ($3 per child). Our cost-effective model ensures impact at 0.001% of the annual budget the government spends in implementing this policy.

Job Description:-

As a product developer, you will be instrumental in developing and scaling products that will impact lakhs of families in marginalized communities across the country. The job will give you the opportunity to execute about all aspects of web development from ideation to development to deployment and scaling. You will have the opportunity to execute all aspects of mobile app development from ideation to development to deployment and scaling.

Skill set required:-
- Development of hybrid mobile app, for both android and ios platform.
- Support for maintenance and rollout of the existing app infrastructure.
- Participate in periodic code reviews and work towards improving the quality of code.
- Anticipate the needs of the customers and develop solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Design detailed test cases for building high quality applications

Skill Set Required: 
- 1+ year of experience in Ionic/React framework for building mobile app.
- Understanding of principles of Object Oriented Design and Material design.
- Fast learner and ready to work in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to focus on building products which are sustainable and maintainable for a long duration of time.
