Profile Offered: Scala Developer

Job location: Chennai

Course Specialization: B.Tech/B.E. in Computers

Desired Experience: 0 - 4 years

Roles and Responsibilities:
* Scala Developer for big data project. Understand the architecture and guide the Data engineering team on best solution to a problem.
* Should be able to devise solutions from technology perspective on big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, MapReduce.
* Work closely with the different teams to understand and meet business needs through the appropriate design and implementation of the Data model(s).
* Good data analysis skills.

Skills Required
* Ability to use Functional Programming Paradigm and Data Structures in Scala to optimize the Scala code for performance.
* Familiarity with Data Modeling and Database Design is a plus.
* Ability to use databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle in Scala.
* Familiarity with messaging frameworks like Kafka, RabbitMQ is a plus.
* Scala with good functional programming background , Apache Spark.
* Big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, Kafka.
