Job Description and Skill Set Required:  

- Should have experience (2yr+) of testing firewall, router, UTM, AP class of devices for throughput, security, general firmware QC, compliance, conformance.

Must have have protocol level knowledge of:

- Ethernet, VLAN, PPPoE framing and protocols

- IPv4, IPv6, Dynamic Routing Protocols

- IPSec, GRE, and other tunnels

- TCP, MSS, Window Sizes, Algorithms

- DHCP, DHCP6, DNS, DNS6

Must have sound technical expertise on:

- Packet structures, packet capture and generation

- Write script using bash, TCL/Perl/Python

- Hands on Ixia/Spirent platforms for traffic generation and measurements

- Linux Operating System, File Systems, overall OS architecture

- SNMP, Syslog, ntop, top, tcpdump etc. for monitoring

- Security test/attack tools

- Performance test tools

- Nice to have

- Exposure to build platforms like OpenWRT or Yocto

- Application Testing of EMS, NMS

- Working in Scrum/Sprint processes
