Job Description: 

Install, configure, maintain, administer and support multiple MySQL database servers and instances running as part of multiple web applications and other applications.

Performance analysis and Tuning of MySQL Databases and MySQL database servers.

Proactively identify bottlenecks for performance and rectification in MySQL database and related tracks.

Ownership and resolution of MySQL database tickets.

Assisting on other issues which involves MySQL.

Work as a central point of contact for all MySQL related activities and provide up-to-date information for on-going incidents/alerts.

Work as an L2/L3 troubleshooting and analysis team and try to resolve issues.

Documenting existing and new MySQL Database and database setup.

Technical input like infrastructure recommendation based on industry best practices and experience of MYSQL during new proposals and projects.

Skills Required: 

MySQL 5.0+, Any additional database eg: Oracle, MSSQL., Incident lifecycle process, Any ITSM tool eg: Remedy, Peregrine etc.
