Roles and Responsibilities:
Equipment designing, building, and testing
Responsible for CAD modelling especially experience in Solid works part modelling, assembly, drawing, basic FEA, custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and / or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.
Good in-depth knowledge of GD&T
Knowledge of bearings and spindle designing
Motor selection based on torque, acceleration - deceleration, and velocity profile calculation, stepper and servo motor knowledge would be an added advantage.
Knowledge in optics, optical system handling and fixture designing for optics would be an added advantage.
Basic knowledge about casting, welding, bending, forming process.
In-depth knowledge about various manufacturing process, Design for Manufacturing, Design for Assembly
Ability to design fixtures to hold small and delicate medical components.
Strong domain technical knowledge with experience in handling projects independently.
Hands-on experience in various engineering calculations and analysis under general supervision.
Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex issues.
