The Internship is focused on 2nd year college / university students looking to gain practical on-the-job experience during the summer, and prepare them for a successful career in the financial services sector. The programme shall provide us build a strong pipeline of talent for our entry-level roles in future.

What you'll need:

• A desire to build a career in the Financial Services Sector

• A global outlook

• Highest standards of integrity and behaviour

• Be a 2nd year Bachelor's (BCom, BCA, BSc, BA etc) degree student at a recognized college/university in India

• PC skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint would be advantageous

• Have the legal right to work in India

What can you expect?

Over the course of the internship, you will gain experience HSBC Operations. You shall go through a structured induction followed by a few weeks of placement in the business which shall be interspersed with sessions around business etiquettes and soft skills.

The Internship shall equip you with the skills and experience required to explore career opportunities with the HSBC Group, as well as the opportunity to develop your professional network with colleagues across the bank.

The internship will give you an overview of HSBC, our business and culture, and how Global Operations fits into the overall structure.

There will be many people you can lean on for support. Your supervisor shall be available for career counselling sessions. You shall be assigned a mentor who will help you to get the most out of the experience, and a buddy to share ideas with and who you can call on for guidance.

There will be regular business and social events to attend so you can build a network of contacts, who shall share their experiences and expertise which will hopefully prove invaluable to you in the future. You can also take part in sustainability initiatives, adding value to the communities in which we work.
