Job Description: 

Position Overview:

A Test Engineer participates as a member of a product testing team utilizing industry knowledge of software testing best practices, company established processes and standards, and strong product knowledge. This role requires ensuring all development tasks meet quality criteria through test planning and product testing.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

-Test Planning

Define the test plan/strategy

Estimate testing efforts (software / hardware/ man-hours) by analysing the requirements of the project.

Build a testing team of professionals with appropriate skills, attitudes and motivation.

Prepare test data strategy

-Test Preparation

Write test cases.

Acquire/prepare test data from various sources

Prepare Test Bed

-Test Execution

Automate product functionalities using automation tools

Execution of test cases and status reporting using JIRA.

Defect logging /tracking through JIRA

Should be able to manage different stakeholder in the test execution process

Should be able to support team members in terms of technical guidance.

Skills Required:

-Linux (including shell scripting)

-Hadoop (Big Data)

-Database- SQL queries

-Strong technical & analytical skill in above to support/guide the team.

-Ability to identify and document problems and clearly communicate their resolution.

-Should be able to manage stakeholders.

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
