Job Description:

L1 support engineer responsible for:

- Feature testing of linux based data storage platform
- Inter-operability testing & validation of linux based data storage platform & solutions, including third-party applications & modules
- Demonstration, installation & support of data storage products & solutions to customers (remote & onsite)

Skill Set Required:

- Linux system packaging & troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Linux administration and services (systemd based networking and services management, samba, vsftp,rsync, NTP, LDAP, etc.)
- Familiarity with shell scripting / automation scripts
- Familiarity with Windows Active Directory & fileserver administration
- Familiarity with backup applications
- Knowledge of building PXE boot environments, RHEL based package (rpm) building, bootable ISO creation desirable.
- Knowledge of testing frameworks and test script development.
- Basic knowledge of version control systems (git in particular).

General skills & aptitude:

- Good analytical & problem solving skills
- Inter-personal and client-relationship skills
- Self-driven with high degree of motivation and initiative
- Familiarity with computer office applications & report writing
- Fluent and confident communication in written / spoken English or fluent spoken communication in Kannada or Hindi
