Course Specialization: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical), Degree/Diploma in Tool Design

Job Description:

- The Design Engineer – Tooling is a technical position related to sheet metal die design.

- This position receives Design concepts from Team lead and he/she is responsible for converting the concepts into 3D design using CAD tools.

- These designs will include progressive die, transfer die, stage die or any special tooling.

Skill Set Required:

- Degree/Diploma in Tool Design

- Should have 2-3 years’ experience in designing of Progressive dies/Transfer dies/Stage dies (Must)

- Should have working experience in Catia V5 (Not mandatory but preferred)

- Knowledge of Method plan/Process plan

- Knowledge of BIW materials and sheet metal processing

- Knowledge of pre-processing/stamping simulation

- Should have good knowledge of detailing/creation of manufacturing drawings

- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes

- Written Test (Aptitude and English)

- Panel Interview

- CAD Test
