Job Description and Skill Set Required:

- Must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of Relational Database Management Systems including design,     normalization, indexing, tuning, etc. in a web development environment.
- Ability to develop, troubleshoot, unit test and document PL/SQL program units such as functions, procedures and     packages following development standards and when to use each.
- Resourceful at problem solving and debugging while working with the users to resolve production issues in a timely   fashion.
- Is a ‘team player’ demonstrating organizational commitment and supporting the division’s technical direction.
- Excellent communication, listening, analytical and problem solving skills.
- knowledge of Oracle Objects and Ignite or equivalent monitoring/tuning tools.
- Knowledge of building/delivering databases i.e., logical and physical design, PL/SQL programming, database   tuning and general database administration
- Strong understanding and experience with SQL, PL/SQL across various databases like Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL
- Basic understanding of database administration creating new databases, moving data across databases, moving       data into and out of database in various formats etc.
