Desired Experience: 0 - 5 yrs

Job Summary:

  • Under direct supervision by Engineering Manager, produce design drawings using AutoCAD and Microstation proficiently
  • Use Thermon established guidelines and procedures to prepare heat tracing isometrics, panelboard schedules, cable schedules, instrument schedules, wiring diagrams, and location plans
  • Create composite single line piping isometric take-offs from customer orthographic piping drawings and piping isometrics

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Teamwork - Interact with the other CAD operators, HT designers, and Engineering Manager to generate drawings
  • Ability to draw and plot to scale
  • Gain knowledge about the HT systems that are being drafted
  • Ability to create 3D component drawings
  • Keep current with changes in CAD program features and functions
  • Prepare and self-review drawings for accuracy
  • Conduct site surveys to sketch information required for heat tracing design (If necessary)
  • Adhere to companys policies, procedures and standards Competences
  • Computer literate Basic MS Office skills
  • Sound knowledge of 3-D modelling (PDMS, PDS, SmartPlant 3D)
  • Ability and desire to learn with positive atitude, experiences and examples of supervisors
  • Able to assist in preparation of MTO, piping layouts
  • Knowledge of drafting as per engineering standards
  • Foster collaboration and possess good interpersonal and communication skills
