The Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is a Constitutional body constituted with effect from 1st April 1988 under Article-315 of the Constitution of India vide Notification OM-15/88 dated 29th March 1988. The Commission advice the Government of Arunachal Pradesh on all matters relating to state civil services and publish notifications inviting applications for selection to various posts as per the requisitions of the appointing authorities, conduct written tests and interview, prepare ranked list based on the performance of the candidates and advice candidates for appointing strictly based on their merit and observing the rules of reservation as and when vacancies are reported.

Qualification :Candidate applying for the post must possess Bachelor Degree in the discipline of Textile/Handloom Technology/Fine Arts/Fashion & Design Technology/Fashion Management from a recognized University or institution. However, the final year students who are to appear for such final examination shall also be eligible to apply. Such candidates who are declared to have qualified by the Commission In the written competitive examination will have to produce original certificates or mark-sheets of passing their degree examination issued by the Assistant Registrar/Registrar/Controller of Examination/Vice-Chancellor of the concerned University will only be accepted by the Commission on or before the date of Interview/Viva-voce. Without the original certificate/mark-sheet they shall not be allowed to appear in the Viva-voce.
