Job Description:

-Kayako is looking for Operation engineers who are passionate about automation.

As Kayako looks to improve its software as a service product, our operations team is evolving from Ops to DevOps to deal with the dynamism required to scale a cloud based product. We believe in automating and standardizing everything and are furiously working towards a future where Ops engineers don't need shell access thanks to immutable infrastructure and more importantly Ops engineers don't have to work nights to ensure everything is stable and running.

To be a part of the team, you are required to the exhibit the following:

-Clear technical understanding of operating systems, networks and databases

-Realization of how your work impacts customers, both internal and external

-Display end to end task ownership and work with others to clear roadblocks

-Ability to identify inefficiencies and make efforts to reduce costs of operations

-Manage an international, 24-7/always-on, multi-site infrastructure without needing to be awake 24/7 to do it

Skills Required:

Hands on experience on:

-AWS (EC2, S3)

-Automation tools (Puppet, Chef) and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)

-Applications like Redis, Nginx, Nagios

-Scripting (Bash scripting)

-Databases (SQL, MySQL)

-TCP-IP and HTTP

-Linux/UNIX and core systems services
