Job Description and Skill Set Required:
-Provide technical planning, development, and systems integration on client engagements from definition phase through implementation.
-Facilitate communication of technical matters among internal team as well as external partners and client contacts.
-Analyse requirements, wireframes and capabilities of related systems to propose appropriate solutions.
-Design and build applications for the iOS platform.
-Write clean, stable, unit-tested code and accompanying documentation.
-Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
-Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
-Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
-Expert in Objective-C, Core Services, Media and Cocoa Touch frameworks, developer tools (Xcode 4 and 5), and workflows (both manual memory management and ARC, debugging,
profiling, unit testing, continuous integration, provisioning, distributing and submission to the App Store)
-Experience with iOS frameworks such as Core Data, Core Animation, etc.
-Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
-Have sound object-oriented programming skills, Phonegap and JavaScript frameworks
-Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services-Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards
-Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines
-Knowledge of low-level C-based libraries is preferred
-Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools {{such as Instruments and Shark, depending on project needs}}
-Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
-Knack for benchmarking and optimization
-Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, Mercurial or SVN}}
-Familiarity with continuous integration with XCode server or Jenkins
-Intimately familiar with iOS design patterns and coding conventions as well as Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and App Store Review Guidelines
-Expert understanding of networking, local data caching and multitasking on iOS
-Solid experience with commonly used 3rd party libraries and services (e.g. AFNetworking and Firebase, AWS, Azure, Siri)
-Experience with Sqlite, Realm, Core Data-Experience with with network communication using HTTP,HTTPS,TCP/IP
-Up to speed with iOS 7 changes, new features and requirements
-Development experience with other mobile platforms (e.g. Android), a plus
-Solid HTML, CSS and JavaScript development skills, a plus
-Experience with task planning and estimating effort
-Experience working on small to medium‐sized teams
-Experience with BLE and Arduino, a plus
