Deepa and Anjitha from Thirthahalli (Karnataka); Nayna and Usha from Bhiloda(Gujarat) and Elizabeth from Rathinagiri (Tamil Nadu) all have one thing in common. They say "My life has changed". And they represent 2500 strong rural youth who all say the same. How did this happen? One simple yet compelling concept, truly an idea whose time had come made this possible. "Rural Shoring" is a rural-focused socio-commercial initiative dedicated to create employment in villages in India through its mission of impact sourcing in rural India. RuralShores is a social enterprise, pioneering the next major innovation to the corporate operating model. It is focused on providing underprivileged rural youth with sophisticated employability solutions and sustainable employment opportunities. It aims to help organizations tap the talent and markets of rural India and in the process integrate rural youth into knowledge economy. It offers its clients a game changing proposition to support their operational transformation efforts and cost savings and committed service levels that are enabled through a talented and dedicated workforce. In addition, we provide non-replicable access to rural markets that is critical to companies growing in India's heartland. Over the past several years, RuralShores has evolved an "operating template" that can be applied for successful rural delivery across processes and geographical regions. This consists of three key elements (i) talent model honed to work with rural youth; (ii) sustainable operating centre business model and (iii) knowledge intermediation approach. RuralShores is a proven model. Currently we have 2500 employees in 13 centres in 8 states, delivering over 45 processes to more than 30 blue chip clients.
