About TNPSC
The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission was started in the year 1929. Initially called as the Madras Public Service Commission, the commission was the first unique honour of Madras province in India. After the reorganization of states in the year 1957, the Madras Commission was renamed as Madras Public Service Commission and later in 1970 when the name of the state changed to Tamil Nadu, it became Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
