The Business Development Officer typically serves as member of management and is considered a senior level consulting within the organization. As such, the Small Business Development Manager provides functional, technical or process leadership. The organization will depend on this person's management of multiple teams. The Business Development Manager generally is responsible for high complexity and ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

  • The success of the business development team by attracting, developing, and retaining new and existing customers.
  • Supervises the development team's business development processes to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Ensures that customers receive a high level of service by communicating with them before and after business closing.
  • The primary responsibility of the Small Business Development Manager is financial services for small business commercial accounts: lockbox, credit, deposit accounts, small business loans, tax management, etc.
  • The Small Business Development Manager assesses customer related issues and requests, and delivers a roadmap for the improvement of business performance and profitability.
