Job Description

Cognizant Technology Solutions is looking for enthusiastic candidates who can work as Technical Writer. The salary offered for the position is Rs. 3,00,000/- per annum.

Designation: Technical Writer

Location: Chennai

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 2012 and 2013 batch of B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech candidates belonging to Biotech only.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Open only to Indian nationals.

Compensation:

  • Annual Total Compensation: INR 300,000

Interview Process:

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their AMCAT Score.
  • AMCAT ID is required for registration.
  • Technical and HR Interview

Job Description:
Work closely with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to develop technical and end-user documentation that explains how a hardware or software application works.

Work can be broadly classified as:

  1. End-user assistance documents- help a user understand a software or hardware product. This includes end user manuals, online help systems, installation guides, configuration guides etc for computer programs.
  2. Technical documentation communicates to a specialized audience. Such documentation includes creating material for the software development life cycle - such as Technical Reference Guides, API docs etc.
  3. Marketing communication such as product catalogs, brochures, advertisements, introductory pages for web sites.

Expectation:

  • Good English reading and writing skills with a flair for writing
  • Good logical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Aptitude to decipher technical information
  • Willingness to learn new concepts and tools
