Job Description and Skill Set Required:

A Software Developer at Quant One draws upon his/her computer science and programming knowledge to build complex software systems which form the backbone of quantitative trading and research. Developing trading and research systems involves knowledge of complex data structure along with extremely efficient coding skills and knowledge of latest technologies.
- Excellent coding skills (Core JAVA)

- Excellent coding skills in Swing, JavaFX, Web-based Java technologies

- In-depth knowledge of databases and SQL along with its integration with Java

- Knowledge of R/Python – desirable but not mandatory

- Ability to learn new tools and languages

- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

- A genuine interest in financial markets

- Good communication skills: Comfortable with explaining complicated models to a wide audience

- A team player with ability to brainstorm and enhance the learning experience

- Doesn’t give up, has patience to get it right, never makes the same mistake twice
