Job Description & Skill Set Required:
-Perform Every 5 - 15-mins system monitoring.
-Perform operational tasks like running batch jobs, backups etc.
-Follow run sheets closely to execute tasks.
-Perform Data Backup and Recovery and Reporting.
-Perform Media Management.
-Perform 1st level troubleshooting with engineers and end users.
-Creation & follow up of tickets with escalation, alerts & DC operations.
-Must be able to work shifts and is flexible in changing shifts when required.
-Good communication skills.
-Level 1 troubleshooting for Network and Servers.
-Fault handling and escalation along with liaising with 3rd party suppliers.
-Good knowledge of:-
a)Operating Systems – Windows / UNIX / CITRIX /AS400 / servers
b)Monitoring software – BMC / Solar winds / Web watcher / Cacti
c)Desktop Applications – Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer etc.
d)Backup Applications – Symantec/ Veritas / Net backup / Arc serve / Commvault.
-Able to work independently with due diligence and with minimal supervision.
-Perform following task:
a)Shift scope of work
b)Helpdesk related tasks
c)Monitoring Related tasks
d)Execute Run Sheets (SOP)
e)SDM reporting
