Designation:Electro Technical Officer (ETO)

Stipend and Salary: Stipend for Onboard Training as Trainee Electro Technical Officer: Rs.30, 000/-pm.

Stipend for Onboard Training as Asst. Electro Technical Officer: Rs.50, 000/- pm.

On successful clearance of Examination & Ship’s Evaluation, Elevation as Electro Technical Officer, the salary will be that of MUI 1st Year Scale (approximately Rs.1, 25,000/- p.m., subject to applicable TDS, if any).

Age Limit (As on Course commencement date): Not more than 30 years

Marital Status: Unmarried

Duration: 4 months on shore followed by 8 months on board training. The date of commencement for the upcoming ETO batch is 1st March 2019 and subsequent batches will be held in July-19 and November-19.

Academic Qualification:

i) Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with minimum 50 % marks in English Language at 10th of 12the standard exam.

 ii) Passed three years’ Diploma with 60% marks or four year’s Degree including lateral entry, with 50% marks in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication / Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation or equivalent.

iii) The diploma /degree courses must have been recognized by any State or Central Government or the AICTE,

iv) Candidates who were admitted in Diploma course on the basis of Matriculation only and went to complete their B.E./ B. Tech degree course as a lateral entry in the 2nd year of the degree on the basis of Diploma, and has secured the degree in the disciplines mentioned at (II) of the above, are also permitted to be admitted in the ETO course.
