Job Description & Skill Set Required:
-Understand the underlying analytics data model.
-Develop interactive data applications that tell a story with restaurant data that inspires action.
-Synthesize various data sets including but not limited to: POS data, customer data, loyalty data, macro-economic data.
-Be able to design dashboards from scratch based on client requests.
-Develop custom and standard reports or dashboards, in Tableau, per client requirements and that support Fishbowl’s Total Menu Management analytics capabilities.
-Deliver custom GA reports per client requirements.
-Develop, update and maintain competitor price reports, create standard reporting tool for internal teams and external clients.
-Develop and document visualization best practices.
-Participate in developing vision Fishbowl’s analytics products.
-Proficient in Tableau Software, expert understanding of Tableau and all its capabilities.
-Experience developing visualization for large data sets (over 200 GB).
-Ability to tell a story with data while utilizing visualization UI, UX and design best practices.
-Proficient in structured query language (SQL).
-Working knowledge of database principles, processes, technologies and tools.
-Ability to validate one’s own work product.
-Ability to extract, articulate and document client/project requirements.
-Strong sense of customer service to consistently and effectively address client needs.
-Communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing with persons having diverse backgrounds of knowledge and experience.
-Proactively seeks new information and shares knowledge with others.
-Self-motivated; comfortable working independently under general direction.
-Must be extremely well organized, capable of handling multiple ad hoc requests simultaneously.
-Detail oriented, to bring out hidden insights in the data.
-Relevant experience in Tableau is advantage.
-Well versed and enthusiastic about big data.
-Retail /Hospitality / Restaurant Experience/Consumer packaged goods experience, a plus.
-MS SQL Server experience and/or MySQL is required.
-Advanced skills in Excel.
-Ability to make sense of raw data sources and reign in and organize into clean, clearly identifiable data sets and resources.
-Ability to work in cross-functional teams, using research to address business needs and making actionable recommendations based on research findings.
-Must be able to take responsibility for completion of a project with multiple parts and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project meets deadlines.
