POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant, Certified Public Accountant (US), or other qualified professionals in the accounting and tax fields.
• Knowledge of Tax & Accounting work basics.
• Bachelors or Masters degree required in Accounting.
• Prior experience with U.S. tax returns / Accounting & Auditing work is preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience gained within a public accounting firm preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Profx Tax, Caseware, Caseview and GoFile Room is a plus.
• Ready to learn new software.
• Teamwork and leadership skills.
• Outstanding analytical, organizational, project & time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Able to meet deadlines and work based on urgency of projects.
• Quick learner, enthusiastic, positive demeanor and a team player.
• Available to work long hours during busy season times.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparation and review U.S. tax returns, write ups, QuickBooks accounting etc.
• Preparation of financial statements.
• Perform and assist with compilations, year-end closings and reviews for clients in various industries.
• Build working relationships with peers, supervisors and U.S. colleagues.
• Understanding of U.S. accounting and reporting standards.
