Aspiring Minds Partners IGNOU University to Connect Students to Corporate

Aspiring Minds has entered into a partnership with IGNOU under which Aspiring Minds will be assessing IGNOU’s three million students on AMCAT for Graduates, the first employability test for Graduates in India. Graduate from BA, B.Com, BSc, BBA, BCA, BHM or any other equivalent graduate course will undergo a computer aided test that assesses students on a battery of modules on aptitude, personality and subject knowledge. Aspiring Minds research team will ensure a match between the students profile and job profile and create employability benchmarks for various jobs. Assessed students will get a seven stroke report on their employability skills that will help them in understanding their areas of strength & weakness, which will increase their Employability Quotient and thus help them in securing a good job. Based on the employment suitability and profile match of the candidates, Aspiring Minds will connect them to potential recruiters.

The student fraternity has welcomed the initiative with much enthusiasm and they look forward to getting feedback on their skills, knowledge and their suitability to different jobs. Students in north-east India would be the first to undergo the test as they have limited opportunity in terms of employment. Aspiring Minds plans to scale it up to a pan India basis within a short span of time. The initiative was much appreciated by the corporate who would get connected to a large talent pool base and would readily hire from a pre-certified database.

But an interesting observation is that a significant proportion of votes (26.15% endorsement) were in favour of "On-campus placement efforts" and 14.66% endorsed "Adequate platform".
